About Us

Charge CrossFit – World Class Fitness in 100 words:

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts; deadlifts, clean, squats, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics; pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push ups, sit ups, presses to hand stand, pirouettes, flips, splits and holds. Bike, run skip row etc. Hard and Fast. Five or six days per week. Mix these elements in as many combinations, patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high-intensity.

What does that mean? At Charge CrossFit’s 700 Square Metre Indoor/Outdoor state of the art gym in Northcote you won’t find rows of stationary bikes and weight machines. Within our gym you’ll find dedicated athletes of all levels practicing on pull-up bars, Kettlebells, barbells and ropes. You’ll find people, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing.

We work on moving your body the way it’s meant to be moved.

Everyday we create a workout based on this idea and it is scalable to your fitness. We’re aiming to improve your capacity in ten recognised fitness domains; cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The result is comprehensive physical fitness and restored vitality.

We can also help you out with your nutrition.

We give you real life advice based on our own experience, and information from an ever expanding list of resources. In addition you will also have access to Charge CrossFit’s very own ‘Paleo Mum’, and her extensive knowledge on all things delicious in Clean eating!

Becoming a part of Charge CrossFit – and the wider CrossFit Community – will allow you to exceed your expectations, increase your capacity, and gain confidence in and outside of the gym.

As we are based in Northcote we are located not far from the Melbourne CBD! 6:00pm Thursday Barbell session is 1.5 hours dedicated to Olympic Lifting. All members welcome.
7:30pm Thursday Turbocharged is a 45 minute express CrossFit session with no barbells. Open to all members.
